Alive

A two hour class to DJ’ed world beats. This class will start with a 45 minute long somatic warm up to take us from slow and soft, to full bodied alive and from there 75 minutes for your own dance with minimal instruction. Music will start slow and then gather rhythm and expression.

All bodies are welcome, as is contact improvisation.

In this workshop, we will take time to explore some of the territory at the edges of contact improvisation. Exploring aspects of the dance that often go unrecognised or don’t receive quality attention.​​
Moving with the Tides of Grief

In collaboration with interdisciplinary dance-maker and educator Yolande Snaith, and meditation and Qigong teacher Claire Greenland, Jamus is offering Moving with the Tides of Grief - a series of four seasonal grief workshops throughout 2025.

This is the second in the series and for this spring time workshop, lungs, breath and our connection to nature will be the focus for exploring our relationship with grief, through somatic movement, meditation, creative arts practices and ritual.
​​​​
Jamus, Yolande and Claire will hold a safe and compassionate container for participants to navigate their feelings and experiences around grief for the loss of a loved one.

Rituals of Intimacy

At this Years Touch and Play Event Jamus will be offering Rituals of Intimacy a workshop in which you will be invited to enter into a field of awake and emergent moving human animals where the truth of what and who we are is explored, physically, emotionally and creatively.

Cancellation Policy
Please note if you have made a booking for a class hosted by another organisation their booking policy will take precedence, the below booking policy is only for classes and workshops directly organised and ticketed by Jamus.
Classes
If you are cancelling a booking for a class you can cancel your ticket up to 24 hours before the event via our Ticket Tailor booking platform.
We do not offer refunds but you will receive a credit that you can use for further bookings.

Cancellation within 24 hours of class commencement is not possible, outside the cut-off period you will be charged in full and will not be eligible for a credit.
​
If we need to cancel a class however, anyone who has booked may choose to either get a refund or a credit.
​
Individual classes within courses cannot be cancelled.
Workshops and Intensives
(anything longer 3 hours)
Cancellation for workshops or intensives needs to be made 7 days in advance of the date they begin to receive a credit.
Alternatively you can request a refund, and we will refund you 75% of the full amount (the other 25% goes towards the admin it takes to process your refund).
Longer than 7 days a refund or credit will not possible.

Any credit note given will be like for like in respect of time (i.e. a day workshop for another day workshop, or a half day for a half day) if there is a price difference we can discuss this.
